Buc-ee’s is building what it calls “the world’s largest car wash” at its new Katy, Texas location.

The store will boast a 255-foot long car wash that will serve its customer’s car washing needs. Enchanted Rock’s natural gas backup power systems will backup the car wash and the roughly 56,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s travel center.

Buc-ee’s general counsel Jeff Nadalo shared that the location “will feature what we believe will be the largest car wash in the world and backup power that will run the entire store (and car wash) in the event of a power outage.”

Enchanted Rock Powers Buc-ee’s

Enchanted Rock is currently contracted to backup 10 out of 32 Buc-ee’s stores as part of a long-term agreement. The agreement “is expected to be expanded to all Buc-ee’s current and future locations,” as CSNews Online reported.

Enchanted Rock will provide backup power to Buc-ee’s travel centers as large as 70,000 square feet. Each location will benefit from highly reliable, ultra-clean, ultra-quiet natural gas backup power systems owned and operated by Enchanted Rock.
