Houston, TX – June 17, 2025 – Enchanted Rock, the recognized leader in power resiliency, today announced the appointment of three distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors, bringing together unmatched experience in energy markets, capital formation, and digital infrastructure. These strategic additions bring expertise in energy markets, policy and digital infrastructure, positioning the company for continued expansion as demand for reliable power intensifies across the energy and digital infrastructure landscape.
John Carrington, former CEO of Stem, Inc., has been named Executive Chairman of the Board for Enchanted Rock. A veteran of the clean energy and technology space, Carrington successfully led Stem through its IPO and rapid commercial scaling.
“The U.S. power market is at an inflection point—with rising demand and grid reliability challenges,” explains Carrington. “Enchanted Rock’s platform delivers speed-to-power, long-duration reliability, and flexible ultra-low emission generation that complements renewables. I’m excited to help guide the company through this next phase of growth and value creation.”
Carrington previously served as CEO of MiaSolé, which was acquired by Hanergy, Asia’s largest renewable energy firm. Carrington also held senior leadership roles at First Solar, where he led global sales, marketing, and product teams, driving over $1.5 billion in growth within two years. In his 16 years at GE, he held various product, manufacturing, and international roles, including four years in Japan leading commercial and marketing efforts across the Asia region. Carrington will provide strategic oversight across operations, market expansion, and investor engagement.
Joining Carrington are two additional board members whose credentials signal Enchanted Rock’s commitment to leadership in both policy and infrastructure investment:
Dan Brouillette, former U.S. Secretary of Energy and past CEO of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), brings deep expertise at the intersection of energy policy, infrastructure, and market execution. As President of Sempra Infrastructure, he helped transform the company from a regional LNG infrastructure developer to a global energy platform in under two years, advancing major LNG and low-carbon projects across key international markets. He previously held executive leadership roles at Ford Motor Company and USAA. His proven ability to scale energy businesses and navigate complex regulatory environments will support Enchanted Rock’s expansion across utility, industrial, and public sector markets.
Mark Patterson, a seasoned board director across many real estate sectors with 20+ years of experience in the data center and hyperscale space, joins the board to help deepen Enchanted Rock’s relationships in the digital infrastructure space. His network and experience will be instrumental as the company addresses the sector’s urgent need for fast, reliable, and sustainable power. Patterson is President of MRP Holdings LLC and a Senior Advisor at Rockefeller Capital Management. He also serves as an advisor to Investcorp International and Energy Impact Partners. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Merrill Lynch—including Managing Director and Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking—and at Citigroup, where he was Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking.
“We’re entering a defining moment for energy infrastructure,” said Corey Amthor, CEO of Enchanted Rock. “Demand for reliable, and sustainable power is accelerating across critical sectors like data centers, manufacturing, and utilities, and they need it now, not in years or decades. With the deep expertise that John, Dan, and Mark bring, we’re well-positioned to scale our impact and deliver the reliable energy solutions customers need in a rapidly evolving landscape.”
“Reliable power is now a national and international imperative,” said Brouillette. “Enchanted Rock’s platform meets that challenge with dispatchable, flexible, and lower-emission solutions. I look forward to helping scale its impact across all energy infrastructure markets.”
“Data centers and other critical infrastructure need fast, dependable power—something the grid alone, and intermittent renewables, simply can’t guarantee at scale,” said Patterson. “Enchanted Rock’s platform is engineered to meet this demand head-on, with proven technology, operational excellence, and growing traction in high-value sectors. I’m looking forward to supporting its continued expansion and long-term market leadership.”
These appointments come as Enchanted Rock experiences record demand for its natural gas-powered resiliency solutions—offering mission-critical sectors speed, reliability, and operational flexibility.
